Deputy Team Manager - Family Intervention Team | Flintshire County Council

Flintshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Deputy Team Manager to join their vital Family Intervention Team. About the Role:

As a Deputy Team Manager in the Family Intervention Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Team Manager and guiding frontline social work practice. This position focuses on driving positive outcomes for families through targeted interventions and collaborative working. Your responsibilities will typically include:

  • Directly supporting and mentoring social workers within the Family Intervention Team.
  • Providing regular, reflective supervision and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and development-focused team environment.
  • Assisting the Team Manager in overseeing case management, ensuring interventions are timely, effective, and child-centred.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of effective strategies for family support and early help.
  • Monitoring team performance and ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, local policies, and best practice.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure integrated support for families.
  • Stepping in to cover for the Team Manager as required, providing leadership and decision-making support.
What We're Looking For:
  • A Social Work Degree or equivalent relevant degree.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience (ideally 3+ years) working with children and families in the UK.
  • Registered with Social Care Wales.
  • An up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
