Our public sector client is seeking two experienced HR Advisors to join their People & OD team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the organisation.

Main Purpose of the Role:
To deliver a comprehensive HR advisory service, providing professional support, guidance, and expertise on all HR matters, in line with employment legislation, organisational policies, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise and support managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and conditions of service (local and national)
  • Provide case management support, including investigations, hearings, and complex employee relations matters
  • Partner with managers to address issues such as absence, conduct, performance, and grievance cases
  • Contribute to the delivery of organisational development, resourcing, talent management, and employee experience initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, codes of practice, and internal policies
  • Promote best practice, positive employee relations, and organisational effectiveness
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) and Chartered CIPD Membership
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Proven experience as a generalist HR professional, supporting managers on complex HR cases
  • Experience across multiple HR functions (e.g. OD, employee relations, resourcing, talent management)
  • Proficiency in HR systems and digital tools, with strong MS Office skills
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and internal consultancy skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability with resilience in handling conflict and sensitive situations
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, and adaptability
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel across sites
