Estate Couple Job - West Coast of Scotland
Greycoat Lumley’s client are offering a unique role to live and work as a Couple in a remote Estate on the West Coast of Scotland. The role is for an Estate Manager/Stalker & Cook/Housekeeper.
The Couple will be responsible for running the Estate and maintaining a wide variety of buildings, equipment, operating boats and deer stalking, and responsible for the for the lodge, performing housekeeping and cooking roles.
Accommodation on the estate is of a high standard, the Estate has good communications and high-speed satellite broadband.
Key requirements are:
- Estate and property maintenance and management
- People management including other staff members (seasonal and permanent) contractors and building relations with the local community
- Boat management - (training will be provided)
- Mechanics and engineering
- Stalker and hill management
- Housekeeping
- Cooking
- Gardening
The Estate has a hydro, solar, generators and inverters, it has a significant amount of equipment including boats, digger, telehandler and other machinery. There are excellent workshop facilities to assist with the management and maintenance of all equipment and the variety of properties. The Estate Manager should have excellent mechanical skills.
There are other employees which the applicants will be expected to organise and keep safe. The flora and fauna must be managed sustainably and 15 stags/30 hinds are shot annually.
Personal attributes required: reliable, resilient, highly competent, mechanical, enthusiastic, excellent communicator, happy in remote areas, sense of humour, good with guests and family alike.

Location is not suited to a family
Pets are allowed within reason
The Principal is realistic in providing the Couple with the necessary training to fulfil the role. But some relevant experience is required.
Salary: £70,000 + GPA depending on experience
Accommodation: 2 bedroom house of a high standard - council tax and utility bills are paid for by the Principals
