An experienced Senior / Principal Electronics Engineer is needed to play a key part in delivering technical & engineering products and projects for new and legacy products for an industry recognised manufacturing business
YOUR NEW JOB
The role engages with a range of internal and external stakeholders, being involved in the design, production and in-service support of new-build modern and legacy products, and delivering repair services to customer equipment. Working in a focused project team you will work with engineers and technicians with varying disciplines to deliver complex technical products in line with all relevant compliance regulations, technical & quality standards. You will also be involved in supporting bids, proposals and tender frameworks to maximise the company's ability to win ongoing projects
YOUR PROFILE
You will need to be a qualified Electrical Engineer with 3-5 years' experience and an ideally have worked in a highly regulated or safety-critical sector such as Oil & Gas, Renewables, Process, Telecommunications, Aerospace, Rail, Defence etc). Good project management skills and an understanding of the bids and tender process is needed as is a full UK Driving Licence.
You will need to be hands-on technically as you will be carrying out a mixed role of Design, Test, Calibration and Repair of specialist Electronics hardware for customer projects
In terms of your personal qualities you will need to be energetic, curious, methodical and determined; this role requires the ability to solve a range of technical problems, in hands-on and desktop-based technical work packages. You will also need the ability to present and communicate technical matters and recommendations to management, in clear and concise English, in both writing and orally.
There is some travel to UK-based or international customer sites and you will need to be prepared to do so when needed
