Job description

We are recruiting for a Creative SEND Graduate Support Assistant for a Primary School based in Gateshead to work on a long-term basis starting after the Summer break.

Creative SEND Graduate Support Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
* Contribute to developing a creative curriculum where creative learning opportunities are available for all pupils
* Support pupils in small groups and on a one-to-one basis whilst responding to their individual needs
* Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
* Provide an 'outside of the box' way of thinking to help students engage in their learning

Non-negotiables:

* Must have obtained a 2:2 or above in degree
* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
* Experience in one or more creative subjects (Music, Drama, Sports, Art, Creative Writing, Psychology)
* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and as part of a wider team
