Our OEM Client based in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Coventry, is searching for an AME Senior Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 18th September 2026.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

Duties:

  • Ensure all given programmes are delivered to agreed timing plan.
  • Drive resolution of issues through AIMS (Internal Issue Management System).
  • Ensure all scorecard items are completed to achieve an on time and on quality launch.
  • Ensure all build issues are contained or resolved within 24 hours.
  • Lead various Agile meetings such as Stand Up, Group Sync and Sprint Planning.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify the route cause to complex issues and define solutions using robust problem-solving techniques.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement via Lessons Learnt and the use of best practice.
  • Co-ordinate launch activities such as the launch checklists, scorecards and gateways.
  • Working with the cross functional SVO team and our client’s wider business to ensure all gateways are passed robustly on time.
  • Manage vehicle movements and storage for embargoed vehicles.

 Skills Required:

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Methodical but dynamic approach to solving complex problems.
  • A good communicator with the ability to assimilate data from multiple areas to reach a conclusion.
  • Good knowledge of Vehicle Manufacturing Process and Procedures.
  • Results driven with a passion for continuous improvement and ability to meet or plan to tight deadlines robustly and honestly.
  • An individual with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.
