Electrical Contracts Manager
Our client, a reputable M & E contractor is looking to recruit an Electrical Contracts Manager due to continued success and growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career within a progressive and successful business.
This position is paying up to 65k plus package depending on experience and qualifications
Suitable applicants will have worked as an Electrical Contracts Manager previously and have experience delivering electrical packages on developments within the commercial new build sector. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of delivering projects ranging in value up to 1.5m
Applicant Requirements
At least 5 years' experience and Trade Qualifications
Previous successful experience on Electrical Projects of 50K to 1.5 million.
Projects vary from small shop fit outs to larger commercial Cat A/B offices etc.
Candidates should hold a clean driving licence (or near clean).
Candidate to work under their own initiative, be self-motivated and a good team player.
Candidate should hold a CSCS Card. They should be conversant with BS 7671, 5266, 5839 and CG 2391 requirements.
Good working knowledge of Excel and Word would be required
Responsibilities / duties:
Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications, Programmes & Drawings.
Working knowledge of SEC Cypher, Estimating Package (not essential).
Prepare Contract Documents i.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI's, Technical Submissions, etc.
Meet with Clients and Design Teams, Liaise with design team i.e. Architect & Consultants.
Carry out site visits and surveys, prepare reports for Validations etc.
Manage site labour and sub-contractors.
Prepare handover documents i.e. O&M Manuals and Record Drawings.
Manage contract costs and variations including procurement.
Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Working knowledge of Amtech FastTest.
Flexibility to travel, working at main office and site based as required.
Willing to undertake CPD in line with regulations & Health & Safety.
Ability to manage a wide range of varying projects from small shop fit outs to medium sized Cat A/B offices, Schools, hospitals etc.
