Reed Business Support is assisting our client in Gillingham to recruit a proactive and dedicated HR Assistant. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about human resources and are looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic team.

HR Assistant Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
  • Participate in recruitment efforts, post job ads, and organise CVs and job applications.
  • Schedule job interviews and assist in the interview process.
  • Prepare new employee files and oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
  • Orient new employees to the organisation (setting up a designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.).
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus, and leaves.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.
  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars.
  • Manage the department’s incoming calls. 

HR Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.
  • Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular).
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS.
  • Familiarity with ATS software and CV databases.
  • Studying towards a CIPD qualification 
  • Strong communications skills.
