Reed Business Support is assisting our client in Gillingham to recruit a proactive and dedicated HR Assistant. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about human resources and are looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic team.
HR Assistant Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
- Participate in recruitment efforts, post job ads, and organise CVs and job applications.
- Schedule job interviews and assist in the interview process.
- Prepare new employee files and oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
- Orient new employees to the organisation (setting up a designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.).
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus, and leaves.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars.
- Manage the department’s incoming calls.
HR Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.
- Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular).
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS.
- Familiarity with ATS software and CV databases.
- Studying towards a CIPD qualification
- Strong communications skills.

The ideal candidate for the HR Assistant role would need to demonstrate experience obtained from a similar role, be in commutable distance to our client in Gillingham, and be available to start work immediately. This is a full-time office-based role.
