About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Patient Booking Administrator for a temporary fixed-term contract of 6 months in Gillingham, with the possibility of extension. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, where you will play a vital role in supporting the staff by streamlining patient booking processes and ensuring optimal care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Patient Booking Administrator, your role will include:

  • Patient Referrals: Verify patient suitability for appointments by checking referrals from GPs and other acute service teams.
  • Appointment Preparation: Contact patients to offer appointments, ensuring compliance with trust policies, and recording the outcome in our systems.
  • Patient Communication: Manage correspondence with patients, ensuring all communications are logged accurately.
  • Clinical List Preparation: Prepare patient notes and historical health information for appointments, even on short notice.
  • Outcome Reporting: Timely and accurate reporting of appointment outcomes to facilitate follow-up clinical activities and billing processes.
  • Audit Support: Assist in audit activities, including checking historic patient data and managing equipment stock.

Who You Are:

  • You have previous experience in patient appointment booking.

  • Endoscopy experience is a bonus, but candidates with a background in healthcare or medical administration are also encouraged to apply.
  • You possess excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks efficiently.
