This is an incredible opportunity to join my client, a highly-regarded, sustainably-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in Scotland. Renowned for lending their expertise to a diverse range of high-profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are currently on the lookout for a talented, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design who is willing to take on a diverse array of challenging projects. You will be working with a newly-established team of infrastructure design professionals, based near the lively, diverse city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- Contributing to the design of a range of projects and developments
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of engineering projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues in their development within the company
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
- Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, method statements, and other technical documents
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
- Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, and other events
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
- Hold Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised professional body
- Experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK consultancy or Local Authority setting
- Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
- Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
- Proficient in the use of various software packages (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and others)
- Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
- Demonstrable experience of client and stakeholder liaison
- Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
- Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
- Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
- Experience of leading projects/teams
- Experience of working in a public-facing role
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
