SITE AGENT – DEEP DRAINAGE PROJECT

Contract Scotland is working with an established civil engineering contractor to source an experienced Site Agent to lead a deep drainage project in Glasgow's West End. This is a high-visibility, senior site management position offering significant responsibility, technical challenge, and the opportunity to shape project delivery on behalf of the client.

THE ROLE
As Site Agent, you will be the client's principal representative on site, commanding full responsibility for project delivery across all operational, safety, and technical dimensions. This is not a shadowing or support role—this is a position of genuine responsibility and accountability.
Duties and responsibilitiesÂ
Site Supervision & Management – Direct oversight of all on-site activities, workforce coordination, and day-to-day project delivery
RAMS Management – Development, implementation, and ongoing management of comprehensive Risk Assessment and Method Statements
Health & Safety Leadership – Creating and maintaining a robust H&S culture, conducting toolbox talks, managing incident protocols, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Technical Input – Providing engineering expertise, quality assurance of works, design liaison, and problem-solving
Client Liaison – Serving as the primary point of contact for the client; communicating progress, managing expectations, escalating issues with clarity and professionalism
NEC Contract Management – Demonstrating proficiency in NEC contract administration
You will be supported by a visiting Technical/Engineering Manager who will provide specialist engineering guidance and support for escalated technical matters.
