Be-IT is working with a global organisation who are looking to recruit a Strategic Programme Commercial Lead to oversee all commercial activities tied to a high-profile digital transformation initiative.

This is a business-critical role where you'll own the commercial strategy, lead high-value negotiations and drive supplier performance across a multi-vendor landscape.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial IT, you'll act as the key commercial interface between internal delivery teams and external partners, ensuring supplier engagements deliver optimal value, support agile delivery and align with the programme’s overarching goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement commercial strategies aligned with the strategic digital programme.
  • Manage and negotiate high-value contracts with technology and consulting partners.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks across a complex supplier ecosystem.
  • Maintain commercial change impact registers and manage reporting/escalation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory standards.
  • Drive cost optimisation, value-for-money assessments and contractual performance reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with legal, procurement, IT and delivery teams.
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for suppliers and programme leadership.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in commercial leadership roles within large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Strong background in supplier and contract management, ideally across IT, consulting or outsourcing vendors.
  • Proven track record in leading negotiations, managing risk and ensuring commercial compliance.
  • Familiarity with procurement frameworks, contract law and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Relevant degree or commercial/procurement qualifications preferred.
