Senior Health and Safety Advisor - Glasgow/projects across the Central Belt - £50k-£60k+car/car allowance (£5k)+ benefits package - major infrastructure projects across the region, supporting site teams and senior management. Senior Health and Safety Advisor required for a major infrastructure framework. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding our approach to managing risk and delivering complex projects with excellent standards in Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Maintaining a dynamic and driven approach to supporting Health and Safety across the region
  • Supporting and developing a positive Health and Safety culture 
  • Organising audits and supporting the delivery of audits.
  • Conducting accident/incident investigations and/or supporting investigations 
  • Integrating within the wider project teams to understand day to day challenges.
  • Liaising with the central health and safety team.
  • Highlighting opportunity for sustainable solutions.
  • Trending and analysis of key performance data.
  • Maintenance of our externally certified management systems.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of working as part of a team within construction or engineering
  • Ability to interpret legislation and Approved codes of Practise.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communicator who’s comfortable engaging at all levels within the organisation 
  • Confidence to make decisions whilst recognising when appropriate to escalate issues or concerns.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills especially Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.
