Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to work on clean and wastewater projects as part of a capital delivery program. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support maintenance and growth of water and wastewater systems.

This role can be done remotely with monthly travel requirements to Glasgow. 

• Support Project Managers with design and engineering tasks before construction starts.

• Attend and contribute to design and progress meetings.

• Work closely with other engineers to coordinate designs.

• Create technical documents like cable calculations, schematics, and cable schedules.

• Produce electrical drawings, cable routes, and system layouts.

• Review designs to make sure they meet industry standards.

• Write reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.

• Qualifications: Electrical Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent.

• Experience: Experience in design work within clean/wastewater or utility sectors.

• License: Clean driving license.

• Professional Status: Chartered, Incorporated, or working towards it (CEng/IEng).

• Skills: Able to guide junior staff, work well in a team, and meet deadlines.
