About the Role
We are excited to be recruiting for a newly created Assistant Manager/Supervisor position within the growing Business Services team of a successful independent accountancy practice.
This new role has been introduced to give greater support to junior team members.
Working closely with an established team - you’ll take the lead on reviewing year-end accounts and returns, managing less complex jobs, and supporting the development of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Review accounts and tax returns prepared by junior staff
- Manage a portfolio of less complex clients and assignments
- Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision to junior staff
- Act as a key point of contact between junior staff and Business Services Managers
- Help maintain high standards of quality and service delivery across the team
Who We’re Looking For
- Ideally qualified (CA/ACCA) with 1-2 years’ post-qualification experience
- Non-qualified/'Qualified by Experience' candidates with strong practical experience in a similar role will be considered
- Confident reviewing and supervising work prepared by junior team members
- Clear communicator with a proactive, team-first mindset
- Comfortable working within a 4:1 office-to-home working pattern
The Team
You’ll join a close-knit team of 8-10 professionals, including two experienced Business Services Managers. Beneath manager level, the team consists of both qualified and part-qualified staff.
