Meraki Talent is working closely with one of the most well-known names within the Scottish accountancy world on the newly created position of Corporate Finance Partner. This is a brand-new position, offering the incoming Partner full autonomy to shape and develop the department from the ground up.
The Opportunity:
This newly created position provides a rare opportunity to design and scale a function around your expertise and network. The firm have had a foot within this Corporate Finance space steadily over the years but are now looking to push further into the Deals market and utilise the firms existing relationships and business portfolios.
Joining as a Partner, you will become part of the senior leadership team, contributing to wider firm strategy, commercial planning, and key business decisions. Your input will be instrumental in shaping the future growth of the Corporate Finance offering and the firm as a whole.
You will work with a diverse client base of entrepreneur-led, owner-managed, and family-run businesses across Scotland, covering sectors such as blue-collar industries, professional services, and white-collar operations. The remit will include end-to-end deal execution as well as wider strategic input to help clients unlock value and achieve growth or exit goals.
Key Service Lines:
- Mergers and Acquisitions advisory (buy-side and sell-side)
- Business valuations for transactional, strategic, and compliance purposes
- Transaction Services including financial due diligence and deal structuring
- Financial modelling to support funding, acquisition, and exit planning
- Strategic advisory for scaling, restructuring, or succession planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute Corporate Finance engagements across a variety of deal types and sectors
- Develop and grow the Corporate Finance offering, with full autonomy to shape strategy, structure, and go-to-market approach
- Build and manage a high-performing Corporate Finance team, including mentoring junior staff and supporting development pathways
- Leverage your existing network to identify opportunities, generate deal flow, and deepen client relationships
- Collaborate with other Partners and business units to cross-sell services and deliver holistic solutions to clients
- Represent the firm in the market, attending events, building referral networks, and enhancing brand presence
- Support business owners with pre-transaction readiness, exit strategy planning, and funding advice
- Contribute to the firm’s strategic planning, operational development, and leadership decision-making processes
You’ll be expected to bring a strong understanding of the Glasgow and wider Scottish market, alongside a proven track record of executing corporate finance transactions and developing business.
