iMultiply are supporting a growing social enterprise in their search for a Qualified by Experience Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

With a turnover of approximately £4 million and a unique model that combines contract flooring services with social mission delivery, the business is entering an exciting phase of consolidation and growth. The Role

The Finance Manager will be a key figure in the organisation, responsible for overseeing financial operations across four entities (soon to be consolidated into two). This is a hands-on role that blends financial control, project accounting, and business partnering. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to ensure financial rigour, support strategic growth initiatives, and act as a trusted voice within the organisation.

As Finance Manager, you will be required, but not restricted, to the following tasks:

  • Full month-end close and post-month analysis across multiple entities.
  • Preparation of management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • VAT returns, audit preparation, and statutory accounts support.
  • Implementation and maintenance of financial procedures and controls.
  • Business partnering with operational teams and contributing to bid development.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives including social investment planning and organisational consolidation.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic and experienced finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-led environment. You will be confident in managing multiple sets of accounts and comfortable engaging with both operational and senior stakeholders. A collaborative mindset and the ability to challenge constructively are essential.

  • Qualified by Experience accountant or part-qualified.
  • 6+ years of finance experience, ideally in SME or social enterprise settings.
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid model with regular office presence.
