Description
The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop an established finance admin team of 4x, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive Business Growth: Act as a strategic partner to the wider business, supporting sustainable growth through sound financial management and insight.
- Shape Financial Strategy: Provide clear financial direction and leadership to ensure alignment with the company's long-term objectives.
- Ensure Robust Financial Governance: Uphold strong financial controls and risk management practices to safeguard the integrity of the business.
- Achieve Financial Targets: Collaborate across the business to help meet and exceed financial goals and performance metrics.
- Lead Financial Planning: Oversee all aspects of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Reporting Excellence: Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful management accounts, board reports, and financial analysis to support effective decision-making.
- Optimize Cost and Cash Flow: Champion cost control, margin optimization, and cash flow management to support business resilience and profitability.
- Commercial Insight: Provide data-driven financial insight to inform pricing, investment, and operational decisions.
- Strategic Partnership: Work closely with the board and senior leadership team to align financial strategies with broader business goals.
- External Relationship Management: Serve as the key liaison with banks, auditors, and external advisors, ensuring productive and transparent relationships.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all statutory obligations, including VAT, payroll, and corporation tax.
- Inventory Oversight: Manage inventory controls and shrinkage to maximize operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead the evolution of financial systems, tools, and processes to drive automation, accuracy, and scalability.

Qualification & Exp:
- ICAS / CIMA / ACCA qualified
Skills:
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing a finance team.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- Strong Accounting Systems experience.
