Conveyancing Legal Secretary – Glasgow – Salary up to £28,000 p/a DOE Are you an experienced Conveyancing Secretary looking for a new opportunity?Do you want to join a trusted and established firm in Glasgow? Are you well organised, driven and able to manage a busy workload? We are eager to speak to experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretaries who are looking for their next, new challenge in Glasgow. Ideally, you will have experience supporting a busy team, completing all conveyancing administration tasks efficiently within set timescales. You will be a confident communicator, who enjoys building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, whilst providing excellent service daily. You will be looking for an opportunity to join an established and experienced team, who are highly regarded in their field!This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. This role will be predominantly office based, with an opportunity to adopt a hybrid working model. The salary for this role is up to £28,000 p/a DOE. Are you who we are looking for?
  • You are an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary
  • You have experience supporting a team of solicitors / paralegals
  • You have strong communication skills both written and orally
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages
  • You have excellent time and diary management skills
  • You enjoy building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You can work well individually a within a wider team environment
  • You are proactive and can solve any issues as they arise
What is the day to day like?
  • Preparing legal documents including dispositions and standard securities
  • Preparing and submitting LBTT returns
  • Opening and closing client files on the internal system
  • Completing all AML checks, filing and following all Law Society guidance
  • Managing diaries and arranging meetings with clients
  • Contacting clients and keeping them informed of any progress within their cases
  • Working closely with solicitors and paralegals, preparing and domestic conveyancing
  • Handling confidential information in line with company policies
  • Completing all basic administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, taking calls and fielding correspondence
  • Assisting with holiday cover when required
