Astute's Renewables team is working exclusively with a leading developer in the Renewable Energy sector, committed to driving the energy transition through sustainable development and responsible land use. We're seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to support their growing portfolio of onshore wind projects across Northern England and Scotland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced land professional to play a key role in enabling the delivery of vital renewable infrastructure. The role offers a salary of up to 85,000, an attractive bonus scheme, pension, private healthcare, and flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Head of Land you will:

Identifying and evaluating land opportunities for new onshore wind projects.

Engaging with landowners and stakeholders to secure land rights, including lease agreements and option contracts.

Collaborating with internal teams to support grid connection applications and planning strategy.

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with landowners, agents, and local authorities.

Presenting viable land opportunities to the senior development team and investment committee.

Supporting the wider project development lifecycle from a land perspective.




Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

At least 5 years of experience in a land acquisition role within the Wind sector.

Demonstrated success in securing land rights and developing strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders

Solid understanding of UK planning policy and its influence on renewable energy development

Knowledge of distribution and transmission networks and their role in energy projects

Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively

Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently to meet targets and deadlines

The ideal candidate would also hold an MRICS accreditation
