As part of our continued operational development, the Beal Group is seeking to appoint a dedicated Material Planner to strengthen our production and supply chain planning capabilities across our business units. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational continuity, inventory control, and supplier performance.

Position Summary

The Material Planner will ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules, optimise inventory, and reduce material shortages across the Beal Group's operations. This role requires strong coordination with procurement, manufacturing, and warehousing functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor material flow to ensure production continuity.

  • Maintain inventory levels within agreed targets to reduce waste and excess stock.

  • Liaise effectively with procurement and production teams to ensure supply continuity.

  • Analyse historical usage data and forecasts to determine future material requirements.

  • Raise purchase requisitions, track orders, and follow up with suppliers on delivery timelines.

  • Support the implementation of ERP planning tools and continuous process improvements.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a planning or materials coordination role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience analysing data to support decision making.

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with cross-functional teams.

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and planning software.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Material availability rate vs. production schedule.

  • Inventory turnover ratio and value of obsolete stock.

  • On-time delivery performance from suppliers.

  • Accuracy of material requirement forecasts.

  • Reduction in urgent purchase orders or stock-outs.
