About The Company

A leading civil engineering and utilities contractor with a huge pipeline of work in Scotland are looking for an established Quantity Surveyor to join their team working from offices close to Glasgow. The business are working across numerous NEC3 frameworks and are looking for a commercial professional with transferable experience in civil engineering, highways, rail, or utilities. This is a company with a proven ability to train, progress and promote from within, and is well suited to an ambitious individual looking to elevate their career opportunities.

About The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the commercial team in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensure the profitability, cash management, cost control and accurate reporting of all schemes.

  • Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
  • Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements
  • Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.
  • Attend project progress meetings.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports
  • Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.

About You

This role is suited to an established Quantity Surveyor with 3/4 years + industry experience. NEC contractual knowledge and a background in utilities/ civil engineering / highways / rail is ideal for this position.
