Quantity Surveyor

Bennett and Game are currently working with a well-established Glasgow-based civil engineering and groundworks specialist, operating for nearly 50 years across Scotland's Central Belt-including Central Scotland, Perthshire, Fife, and Ayrshire. Renowned for its steadfast, "can-do" ethos, the company delivers a full suite of groundworks services-from excavation and drainage to sewerage installations and grading-using its own modern in-house plant and experienced project management team. With a reputation for delivering projects on time and on budget for both public- and private-sector clients.

• Managing the commercial aspects of various civils and groundwork projects involving but not limited to earthworks, sewer installation, roads and hard landscaped finishes for developers, house builders and local authorities
• Manage month end applications, invoicing & valuations within agreed timescales
• Identify variations communicate to clients and obtain cost approval
• Manage client contractual requirements within contract documents
• Produce P&L reports for all projects
• Manage sub-contractors
• Attending site for internal/external meetings including site measures
• Working on projects ranging in value from 20k to 20m

• Preferred Quantity Surveying experience within the groundworks market sector, Not Mandatory
• Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
• Confident relationship builder
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Good financial and numerical skills
• High levels of attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work accurately under pressure
• Familiar with cost reporting & valuations
• Full UK driving license
