Key Responsibilities:
Pumps & Gearbox Maintenance: Perform regular servicing, repairs, and maintenance of pumps, gearboxes, and related mechanical equipment to ensure smooth operation.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify mechanical faults and implement effective solutions, ensuring minimal downtime of equipment.
Installation & Assembly: Assist with the installation and assembly of new pumps and gearbox systems, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance checks on pumps, gearboxes, and related systems to extend the lifespan of equipment and avoid costly repairs.
Quality Control: Inspect and measure parts for wear and tear, and ensure all work meets industry standards and company specifications.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Prepare reports on the status of mechanical systems.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and ensure the workplace is safe for yourself and others.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, with hands-on expertise in working with pumps and gearboxes.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Experience with a wide range of mechanical tools and equipment.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Understanding of safety protocols and commitment to working in a safe manner.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
