Job Title: Welder (MMA & MIG)


Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder with experience in MMA (Manual Metal Arc) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be able to produce high-quality welds in compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks using MMA and MIG welding techniques on various metals.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Inspect and test completed welds for integrity and accuracy.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables in good working order.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Welder with proficiency in MMA and MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of welding standards and safety procedures.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various positions, including standing, bending, or kneeling.
  • Relevant welding certification or trade qualification preferred.


Desirable:

  • Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or shipbuilding environment.
  • Knowledge of MIG welding and MMA is a plus.
