Description
- Concept to detail design throughout the life cycle of company products.
- Support all aspects of product configuration.
- Use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) programmes and supporting systems (data management systems).
- Designing to meet exacting customer requirements and industry standards.
- Technical presentations to customers.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders including team members, chief engineers, programme management, manufacturing and other company sites.
- Working closely with manufacturing to reduce non-conformances on products.
- Liaise with other sites to assist with the offload of packages of work.
- Mentoring/ coaching of junior team members.
Profile
A successful Senior Design Engineer should have:
- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
- Good knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the Aerospace industry
- Fully conversant with traditional and computerised design and analysis methods
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- General computer literacy (Microsoft office)
- Experience of CAD (CATIA V5 preferred, but training will be provided)
