Our client, a prestigious organisation in the procurement supply chain sector, is currently seeking a Commodity Manager to join their dynamic team based in Gloucester. With a special focus on procurement within the aerospace industry, this permanent role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of purchasing management that makes flying possible.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, acquiring validation, and deploying targeted purchasing policies for one or more commodities.
  • Guaranteeing the attainment of objectives in terms of gains and service levels expected by the organisation.
  • Coordinating actions with concerned buyers from other companies when managing group mandates.
  • Leading communication regarding the purchasing policies under your responsibility.
  • Acting as an approver, expert, and key contact for your commodity.
  • Fostering and maintaining a UK-wide network within your commodity.


Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of purchasing methodologies and processes.
  • Proven experience in indirect and direct purchasing.
  • Understanding of industrial and purchasing policies, including legal knowledge of contracts.
  • Experience within a purchasing team using purchasing information systems.
  • CIPS qualifications at Level 4+ or equivalent professional experience
