Salary:
17.23 per hour (up to 39 hours per week)
21.02 per hour (for the next 4 hours as overtime)
25.23 per hour (for any additional overtime hours)
25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays
We are currently seeking a skilled Shipwright / Boatbuilder to join our growing team of dedicated craftsmen at our busy boatyard in Gosport. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment, where you'll contribute to the repair, refurbishment, and refit of Military and Commercial vessels.
While most work is based at the Gosport site, occasional travel may be required to other waterfront locations across the UK.
Due to the nature of the work, successful candidates must be able to pass a DBS check to obtain a Dockyard pass, enabling support work at the Marine Police Unit and other secure facilities.
Key Responsibilities of Shipwright / Boatbuilder
Carrying out repairs, maintenance, and refits on a range of commercial and military vessels
Working with various materials, including wood and composite
Supporting other trades as required in general yard duties
Assisting our Waterfront Support Team where needed
Experience in the marine industry, particularly with commercial vessels
Skilled in using wood, composite, and other boat-building materials
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical work approach
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Flexible and willing to assist across different tasks and departments
Holds a full UK driving license
Opportunity to work on unique and high-profile marine projects
Must be able to travel to Gosport daily for work
