Long Term Futures is working with a specialist SEMH school in Grantham, part of a respected Multi-Academy Trust with a reputation for putting students' needs at the heart of everything they do. The school supports children and young people aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, providing a safe, nurturing and structured environment that enables every learner to thrive.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Assist teachers with engaging and creative lesson delivery.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive behaviour.
  • Help students develop social skills and self-confidence.
  • Support behaviour management in a calm, consistent and encouraging way.
  • Supervise pupils during learning activities, break times and off-site trips.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN needs (highly desirable)
  • Has experience in a related field such as care, youth work, probation services, sports coaching or other roles involving children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with students.
  • Remains calm, patient and positive, even in challenging situations.
  • Works well as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
