This is your opportunity to transition into education as a Teaching Assistant within a specialist SEMH school in Nottinghamshire (NG31). The school provides therapeutic, non-traditional education for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs - and they're looking for people with resilience, empathy, and a team spirit to help guide students back into learning.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting children aged 7-16 with SEMH needs in a hands-on, nurturing environment
  • Using physical activity and movement as a tool for engagement and emotional regulation
  • Assisting pupils 1:1 and in small groups - both in and out of the classroom
  • Helping students develop communication, confidence, and coping strategies
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans
  • Creating a safe, structured space where pupils feel valued and understood

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people in any capacity (e.g. sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, etc.)
  • A calm, patient, and encouraging personality
  • Willingness to get stuck in and build meaningful relationships
  • No formal qualifications required - we value character, life experience, and commitment over certificates
