Are you an enthusiastic and experienced primary class teacher with a passion for making a difference in a diverse and vibrant school community?
We are seeking a Year 4 Class Teacher to join a friendly, multicultural four-form entry primary school in Gravesend from Term 2 until the end of the academic year.
This welcoming and inclusive school is proud of its strong focus on raising achievement for all pupils, with a significant number of children from EAL (English as an Additional Language) backgrounds. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to succeed and thrive.
The successful Year 4 Class Teacher will be responsible for:
- Full class teaching responsibilities
- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons
- Writing reports and keeping pupil records
- Attending and contributing to parents' evenings
- Managing behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A solid understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in Year 4
- Experience working in a multicultural setting and with EAL pupils is desirable
- A specialist subject such as English, Maths or RE would be advantageous
