Strategy Education are working with an SEN school in Kent who are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support the learning and development of their pupils.

  • Full-time Learning Support Assistant roles available

  • 20 minutes from Meopham train station
  • Long term Learning Support Assistant positions available

As a Learning Support Assistant at this SEN school, you will be supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD) as well as Autism (ASD). The role will involve working with pupils who display challenging behaviour as well as pupils who have serious medical conditions. This role is 5 days per week.

Learning Support Assistants in this SEN school can benefit from a close-knit team where you will be supported and provided with the chance to grow within your role. You will be provided with ongoing training and development opportunities and progression is encouraged.

Successful Learning Support Assistants will encourage pupils to achieve their fullest potential in all aspects. You will be a crucial part of a pupil’s journey at this school, and will be supporting them to enable them to participate in various activities, both in school and in the wider community.

To be a Learning Support Assistant in this SEN school, you will be experienced within a similar role. We welcome applications from people with and without school-based experience, as long as you have some experience supporting people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Experience of a therapeutic approach is an advantage, alongside sensory learning.
