Customer Service Executive - Container Transport
Location: Grays, Essex
Salary: Up to 35,000 per year + Bonus Scheme
Hours: Monday to Friday - Day Shifts Only

I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join a fast-paced transport team based in Grays, Essex. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to key container transport customers
- Manage and update bookings using TMS (Transport Management Systems)
- Handle port slot queries and updates using VBS (Vehicle Booking System)
- Use online shipping line portals to check container statuses and instructions
- Work closely with planners, drivers, and port contacts to resolve any service issues
- Keep customers informed of delivery schedules, changes, and delays
- Process container restitution updates and resolve any related queries
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service within container transport or logistics (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of VBS, TMS, and shipping line online portals
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Confident, proactive, and detail-oriented
