I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join a fast-paced transport team based in Grays, Essex. If you have a background in container logistics or transport customer service, this is a great opportunity to build your career with a stable and growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to key container transport customers
  • Manage and update bookings using TMS (Transport Management Systems)
  • Handle port slot queries and updates using VBS (Vehicle Booking System)
  • Use online shipping line portals to check container statuses and instructions
  • Work closely with planners, drivers, and port contacts to resolve any service issues
  • Keep customers informed of delivery schedules, changes, and delays
  • Process container restitution updates and resolve any related queries
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service within container transport or logistics (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of VBS, TMS, and shipping line online portals
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Confident, proactive, and detail-oriented
