Role Responsibilities
  • Manage and review a varied portfolio of personal tax compliance clients
  • Provide technical input on advisory projects involving inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and trust planning
  • Lead and develop the tax team, overseeing day-to-day workflow and coaching junior staff
  • Collaborate closely with the wider leadership team to shape the future of the tax department
  • Ensure high technical standards and compliance with evolving legislation
  • Act as a key point of contact for high-value and long-standing clients
  • Play an active role in strategic growth, business development, and succession planning

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience preparing and submitting personal tax returns in a practice environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK personal tax legislation
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, confident manner in client interactions
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
  • Strong attention to detail and well-organised in handling high-volume caseloads
  • Experience with CCH software preferred, but not essential
  • ATT qualified or part-qualified preferred, though not a requirement
