Homeownership ManagerThurrockTemp - PermPAY RATE: £350.00 LTD / £298.38 PAYE (inc. holiday)We are currently recruiting for an experienced Homeownership Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality leasehold management and Right to Buy services for a Local Authority in Thurrock.THE ROLEAs Homeownership Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team delivering efficient and legally compliant Homeownership services, ensuring excellent customer care and maximising income collection.
  • Oversee and manage the Leasehold Management and Right to Buy services
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for service charges, ground rent and major works
  • Lead on statutory Section 20 consultations and leaseholder communications
  • Handle complex leaseholder enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly
  • Provide expert legal advice on leasehold matters, compliance and service development
  • Represent the council at tribunals, leaseholder forums and internal/external meetings
  • Manage and motivate the Homeownership team including performance, recruitment, and development
THE CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will have significant experience managing Homeownership or Leasehold Services within a local authority or housing association setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Housing Act 1985 and leasehold legislation
  • Experience overseeing service charge estimates, billing, and recovery
  • Proven ability to manage statutory Right to Buy processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Skilled in team leadership, service development, and legal compliance
