We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker in the Family Support & Safeguarding Team within Thurrock. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision and training opportunities. The responsibilities of the Senior Social Worker includes:
  • Undertaking initial investigations
  • Undertaking core investigations
  • Operating under the remit of the Children's Act, 1989
  • Attending child protection meetings
  • Managing a high caseload
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files
  • Supporting junior members of the team

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
