A fantastic role has arisen for a Commercial Strategy Finance Analyst to join a renowned FMCG company based in Greenford. This position is central to driving business performance, with a strong focus on finance business partnering across key functions.
You'll be instrumental in delivering insightful mix and margin analysis, interpreting market trends, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Your expertise will also shape our financial planning processes through robust bottom-up forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.

Responsibilities:
Performance Reporting & Analysis
- Assist with monthly/quarterly KPI dashboards and performance packs.
- Report on business unit and channel performance, including margin, mix, and promotional impacts.
- Provide ad hoc analysis on trends and commercial performance.
Revenue Growth Management
- Deliver insights on market trends, pricing, customer behaviour, and competition.
- Own customer and SKU profitability matrices.
- Support pricing and trade promotion optimisation.
- Maintain and share dashboards with senior leadership.
Trade Investment Management
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and CS&P teams to set pricing/promotional guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and evaluate trade promotions.
- Drive learnings via a closed-loop evaluation process.
Commercial Business Partnership
- Facilitate shared understanding of performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Support NPD, business planning, and cross-functional initiatives.
Planning Support
- Assist in short-, mid-, and long-term commercial planning cycles.
- Align plans across internal and external stakeholders.
- Help ensure plans are effectively communicated and executed.
- Support the Sales Finance Analyst in managing system accuracy and reporting.
- Generate user-friendly reports (e.g. promo calendars, profitability analysis).
- Partner with IT and Upclear to drive system enhancements and efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Studying towards CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Experience in UK FMCG sector.
- Strong finance knowledge (P&L, balance sheet) and planning cycle experience.
- Highly analytical with strong Excel and ERP (e.g. SAP) skills.
- Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused with a commercial mindset.
