About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Residential Property Paralegal to join our friendly and supportive team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in conveyancing who is looking to develop their legal career in a collaborative environment. A hybrid working arrangement is available following the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist solicitors in managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Draft standard legal documents and correspondence under supervision.
  • Conduct initial title checks and property searches.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties to progress transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files using legal case management systems.
  • Support the team in resolving routine queries and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm-wide procedures.
  • Contribute to the promotion of the department through networking and social media support.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a residential conveyancing or property law environment (minimum 1 year preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • A team player with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to client service.
