CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator)
Location : ColchesterJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: £12.50 - £16.50 per hour depending on experience (plus £1.50/hr shift premium for late shift)Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours/week

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Setting up and operating CNC machines for a range of complex components
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints with confidence
- Monitoring machining operations to ensure consistent production to spec
- Inspecting completed parts for quality, accuracy, and tolerance
- Collaborating with the Inspection team to ensure dimensional precision
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator/Setter—experience with castings is a big plus
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and production documentation
- Familiarity with CNC programming logic—Fanuc control experience preferred
- A proactive, detail-focused mindset and a drive for quality workmanship
Your Career Path:
Start on our day shift as you get up to speed with our machines, products, and team. After the initial training period (max 3 months), you'll transition to a weekly rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: Early shift
- Week 2: Late shift (with a £1.50/hr premium)
