Assistant Site Manager

Location: Hamilton, Scotland
Salary: 24.91 per hour umbrella
Job Type: Full-time, temporary
Start Date/Duration: ASAP- December 2025

Randstad are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to work on a large housing site in Hamilton. The right candidate must be able to support the Site Manager and have a good level of experience with keeping with KPI's on site, health & safety and good at client facing too.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager with the daily supervision and coordination of site activities.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and to the required standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and manage site logistics.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Assist in managing materials deliveries and site housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and health & safety documentation.
  • Support effective communication between trades, suppliers, site teams, and senior management.
  • Be client facing in meetings.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor in residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of housebuilding methods, NHBC standards, and H&S regulations.
  • Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certification.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
