This opportunity is with a growing, forward-thinking business in Harrogate, one that genuinely invests in its people. You’ll be working closely with an experienced and approachable finance team, learning from them while also having the space to make the role your own. The business is a growing SME and has received significant investment over the last few years so there’s real potential for progression here, with a structured development plan in place from day one.
The ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified with in-depth full exposure to the management accounts process. Qualified by experienced candidates will also be considered. Over time the role may include the management of an Assistant Management Accountant, however prior experience of managing a team isn’t essential.

Day to day, you'll get involved in:
- Producing full end-to-end monthly management accounts
- Variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders
- Helping with budgets, forecasts, and internal reporting
- Ensuring the cashflow forecasts are produced and submitted to deadlines
- Attending meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Finance business partnering between finance and other departments
- Ensuring compliance with statutory returns
- Supporting junior team members and getting involved in training
- Balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, rebates
- Playing a part in the year-end audit and statutory process
- Identifying ways to improve systems, reporting, and processes
What you’ll bring to the table:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience
- Confident working with stakeholders and explaining numbers clearly
- Strong month-end / management accounting experience
- Someone who enjoys improving processes and adding value
- A can-do attitude, good attention to detail, and a desire to keep learning
