A Chartered Accountancy practice located in Harrogate, committed to providing excellent service are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join their team.

This role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in accountancy within a supportive environment. We provide comprehensive AAT study support and on-the-job training, with potential progression towards ACCA qualifications for those aspiring to become chartered accountants.

Key Responsibilities:• Assist in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts under supervision.• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks using software like Xero and Quickbooks (training provided if necessary).• Support senior accountants with client queries and general administrative duties.• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of client deliverables.

Requirements:• Accountancy Practice experience, min 1 year • IT literate, with familiarity in accounting software such as Xero and Quickbooks preferred (training available)• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and willingness to learn
