Your new roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Procurement Manager to join a leading organisation operating across the engineering, construction, and energy sectors. This site-based role offers the chance to take ownership of procurement activities at a key operational location, supporting both routine and project-based procurement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all third-party procurement spend at the site, working closely with operational and maintenance teams to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with business goals. From day-to-day purchasing to large-scale projects such as maintenance shutdowns and capital investments, this role is central to delivering cost-effective, compliant, and high-performing procurement outcomes.

You will also contribute to strategic sourcing across multi-million-pound procurement categories, leading tendering processes, supplier negotiations, and contract implementation. A strong focus on stakeholder engagement and supplier performance will be essential, as will a proactive approach to risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeedApplicants should hold a degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline or possess equivalent experience. A CIPS qualification (or progress towards one) is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement within technical or industrial sectors, with proven experience managing CAPEX projects and optimising supplier contracts.

Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously are key. Familiarity with procurement platforms such as SAP and a solid understanding of category management and spend analysis will be advantageous.

What you'll get in returnA competitive package is on offer with a salary of up to £78,000 per annum with a car allowance of £493 per month or a company car and a 10% bonus. The additional benefits package also includes a strong pension scheme, private medical and 33-day holiday (including bank holidays). The role is a full-time, permanent position and will be based on site.
