We require an outstanding Teacher of Economics to join our strong and successful Social and Economic Studies Faculty.  Applications from both experienced and Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) would be warmly welcomed. The school-based programme for ECTs includes, where possible, a paid three-week intensive initial induction in July. The two year induction programme includes support from both a subject and induction mentor throughout. ECTs have an opportunity to network both in school and during training delivered by our Induction Partner. We also offer a teacher development programme for our teacher’s in their third year of teaching. We offer:

Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher with DfE number or evidence of successful completion of current course
Skills and Abilities:
•   Is a suitable person to be responsible for children and young people
•   Good knowledge and understanding of the Economics curriculum
•   Ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning in Economics across the age and ability range
•   Excellent subject knowledge
•   Ability to raise standards of attainment and aspiration
•   An understanding of the use of ICT in Economics teaching and learning and a willingness to develop its use
•   A commitment to removing barriers to learning and engagement faced by children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with SEND to ensure excellent progress for all
•   Successful teaching experience/teaching practice
•   Experience or knowledge of the requirements of a Form Tutor
