Are you a passionate Biology Teacher with a real knack for inspiring young women to explore the wonders of the living world? We're on the lookout for a fantastic permanent, part-time teacher to join our Outstanding girls' school in Harrow, starting this September. This is a brilliant opportunity to share your enthusiasm and deepen our students' appreciation for biological concepts across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be designing and delivering captivating Biology lessons, sparking curiosity about everything from microscopic cells to complex ecosystems.
- It's all about guiding our students through diverse scientific topics, encouraging scientific investigation, and fostering critical thinking skills.
- You'll cultivate a vibrant and inquiry-based learning environment where students feel genuinely engaged and excited to learn.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a genuine specialism in Biology and the ability to teach general Science at Key Stage 3 and Chemistry/Physics to Key Stage 4.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective Biology lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
- A deep and current understanding of biological principles, plus that unique ability to make the subject accessible and truly relevant.
- Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a safe pair of hands for practical experiments!
