We are excited to offer the opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join a great team within an education setting . This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning to learners studying GCSE and A level.

Day-to-day of the role of an English Lecturer:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Assess student progress and provide support throughout their learning journey.
  • Act as a personal tutor, offering pastoral care and promoting attendance.
  • Support students in attaining suitable work placements.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within the Business & Professional Studies area.
  • Work closely with the Director of Learning and other team members to drive continuous improvement within the College.

Skills & Qualifications required for the English Lecturer role.

  • A Teaching qualification at Level 3 or higher.
  • A degree in subject area or equivalent
  • Previous, relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
