A dedicated and inspiring Mathematics Teacher is required to join the highly successful Mathematics department of an Outstanding boys' school in Harrow. This permanent full-time position, commencing in September, offers a unique opportunity to foster a love for mathematics and develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5 (aged 11-18).
Responsibilities
- You will plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons that challenge and inspire students, catering to a range of abilities.
- The role involves expertly guiding students through mathematical concepts, from foundational principles to advanced topics, following a well-structured and rigorous curriculum.
- You will cultivate a supportive and challenging classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore mathematical ideas, develop their reasoning, and build confidence in their abilities.
- You will assess and monitor student progress with precision, providing insightful feedback that empowers them to achieve their full mathematical potential.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Mathematics is essential.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective Mathematics lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable, with experience at Key Stage 5 being an advantage.
- A deep and current understanding of mathematical concepts, coupled with the ability to make the subject accessible and engaging for boys, is expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to foster a positive learning culture, are vital.
