The school is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to thrive in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role:
As an English Teacher, you will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for literature and language while helping develop essential reading, writing, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons tailored to students’ needs
- Provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Encourage participation in extracurricular activities such as writing clubs and competitions
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and innovative teaching approaches
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold its core values
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school environment
- Strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for English
- Creative and student-centred teaching approach
- Effective classroom management skills and a proactive mindset
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
