- Job Title: Community Safety Officer
- Design and implement initiatives to prevent crime and anti-social behavior.
- Build strong relationships with residents, businesses, and partner agencies to address safety challenges.
- Conduct risk assessments within the community and recommend solutions to improve security.
- Lead educational programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns on crime prevention and personal safety.
- Work alongside law enforcement, local government, and support services to tackle safety issues effectively.
- Assist in investigations by gathering intelligence and reporting key findings to relevant authorities.
- Strong knowledge of community safety principles, crime prevention, and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
- Competence in risk assessment, data analysis, and solution implementation.
- Experience in law enforcement, local government, or community engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and professional report writing.
- Familiarity with the ASB Crime & Policing Act 2014 and its applications.
- Possession of a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for borough-wide visits.
- Ability to work three days in HCH and two days remotely from home.
- Availability for Ward Panels, Street Briefings, and Days of Action outside standard office hours may be required.
